I thought my whole "Jack-of-All Trades, Master of Some" thing was just me being a doer. I just do. I do what it takes to get the job done. I found out later that's actually being a Producer. And so it began.

A new thing!
Born out the lack of coverage for Milwaukee theatre (especially during the pandemic), my friend Jill Anna Ponasik (Milwaukee Opera Theatre) and I started a 30-minute(ish) live program called You’ve Got a Thing! (an interview thing about Milwaukee Theatre things) for the Milwaukee Theatre Alliance. You can find more on the Alliance’s YouTube Channel, but here’s the first episode:

In the fall of 2013, Luda Lopatina Solomon asked for some help. She was in need of a theatre artist to help her open her own theatre company. As a producer, I've been a driving force behind making Bluebird Arts into Chicago's only English-Russian Theatre Company, producing two plays a year, once in English, then in Russian.
Bluebird Arts now a 501(c)3 Nonprofit Organization, a member of the Belmont Theatre District, a Resident Theatre Company of the Athenaeum Theatre, and intends to expand their reach globally through theatre, and eventually expand into film and dance. Although mostly an actor for independent films, my theatre producing has lead me to be in talks with a friend of mine about starting a production company when he moves back to the area. His past projects include some excellent popular television programs and is currently working on a critically acclaimed project for Netflix.
