I was born and raised in small town Wisconsin where I became a part of the local theatre community at a very young age. Having a bit of a tumultuous childhood, I found myself quite at home with actors, musicians, and artists.
Although I've been involved in theatre, film, and the arts for over 20 years, a daughter born with a genetic disorder, and other life complications have led me on a different path than most artists. I'm familiar with that road less traveled.
I will always consider myself an actor first, but recent projects as a producer, and now Artistic Director of The Constructivists, have given me the opportunity to expand my role in the arts. It's been incredibly exciting. Unexpected and exciting.
What drives me is my unshakable belief that theatre and the arts are necessary elements of an educated and productive society. It's what makes us, and keeps us, human. I truly and whole-heartedly believe this. Which is why I'll never stop creating.
